Argenti Motorsport Sign Marcos Flack For 2021 F4 British Championship
5th January 2021
Argenti Motorsport will return to the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost grid this season, with talented Australian karter Marcos Flack confirmed as their first driver in a multi-car challenge for the upcoming campaign.
The Banbury based squad made their British F4 debut last year and enjoyed a tremendous first season. Mounting a challenge for the drivers’ title, they equalled the championship record for most consecutive podium finishes en-route to two race wins and 14 overall top-three results.
Flack joins the team for his debut season in single-seater competition with a great karting pedigree. The Queensland racer has enjoyed success at both domestic and international level, with his eye-catching performances leading to him being invited to a Ferrari Driver Academy camp in October.
The 14 year old got his first taste of British F4 with Argenti Motorsport towards the end of the 2020 season, showing impressive pace during official test days at Brands Hatch and Snetterton. Flack will be eligible for both the overall championship and Rookie Cup this year.
Michael Meadows, Team Manager: “Everyone at Argenti Motorsport is delighted to be back on the F4 British Championship grid for 2021 and it’s great to have Marcos unveiled as our first driver for the upcoming campaign. There’s no doubt Marcos [Flack] is a serious talent and his performances in testing last year were very impressive. He’s clearly got a bright future ahead of him and we’re excited to play a role in his development. Our first season in British F4 exceeded a lot of expectations – we won races and took podium finishes at every meeting bar one. The aim for this year is, of course, to build on that and I’m confident Marcos will prove an asset to the team as we continue that push forward.”
Marcos Flack: “I’m really excited to confirm I’ll be racing for Argenti Motorsport in the F4 British Championship this season. Testing with the team has been really positive; I’ve enjoyed driving the car and starting to learn some of the UK circuits. It’s an excellent championship, and the perfect place for me to make the step up into single seaters. It’s important to make a mark at this level, like many of the previous drivers have done, so I’ll be aiming to do the same. I can’t wait to get going, and I’m very excited about what the season ahead will bring.”
The F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost is the UK’s premier single-seater series. Open to drivers aged 15 and over, it’s the first step on the FIA single-seater pyramid and is widely regarded as one of the most competitive junior categories in the world.
