A successful 2021 British F4 season for Team Argenti
31 October 2021
Argenti Motorsport conclude what has been a successful second year in the British F4 Championship, with Matias Zagazeta becoming the 2021 British F4 Vice- Champion, among other achievements.
This time last week, Argenti Motorsport headed into the final round of the 2021 British F4 Championship at Brands Hatch, hopeful to add to the plethora of accomplishments achieved since the teams establishment in 2019. #8 driver Matias Zagazeta entered the weekend motivated to attain the championship win. An unlucky Race One ultimately resulted in the young driver claiming the vice-champion title at the end of the weekend, his best result in British F4 to-date.
Matias Zagazeta commented: “It has been a very good year together with Argenti Motorsport. I have improved a lot during the year and it wouldn’t have been possible without their help. We have achieved great things this season together and I can’t thank everyone enough. It’s more than a team for me it’s a family and that’s what I love about Argenti and I have loved this experience this year!”
Recent addition to Argenti Motorsport, Aiden Neate, started his journey into single-seater racing with the team a little later into the season, instantly impressing the team with his sheer determination and passion, resulting in some great achievements for the young driver, including a few podiums. Neate was presented with the annual Joe Tandy Memorial Trophy at Brands Hatch after a brilliant maiden season in British F4.
Reflecting on his first year in British F4, Aiden Neate commented: “The 2021 season with Argenti was a massive thing for me, my first year in cars. Starting the season late, there wasn’t a lot of expectation going into Brands Hatch, but we soon found ourselves in the points from the get go. From there we continued to work hard as a team, getting closer towards the front every weekend, where we then started to fight to finish in the top three picking up many podiums along the way, including my favourite race of the year going from P9 to P3 in the season finale. I can only thank the team for all the effort put in to give me an amazing car, support, and this opportunity, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings.”
#36 Eduardo Coseteng showed great pace all year, bringing home many podium finishes, including his impressive drive in the final round of the season, qualifying on pole and claiming another podium finish.
Eduardo comments: “Firstly I would like say a huge thank you to Michael, Andy, Luke, Pau and the rest of Argenti motorsport for an unforgettable season. I have learned so much this season thanks to the team. I feel like we showed some great potential this year and I can’t wait for whats in store for next season.”
Michael Meadows, Team Principal at Argenti Motorsport had this to say of the team’s 2021 achievements: “It’s been a good year with many wins, podiums, poles and fastest laps. All the drivers have shown very good speed and developed a lot throughout the season. Our achievements would not have been possible without the sheer passion and commitment of all our drivers, staff, supporters and team partners. Thank you to all of you for being apart of our team. We are already looking forward to the 2022 season.”
As Argenti Motorsport look ahead to 2022, the team are excited for what the new season brings and the changes to the championship that will continue to support talented young drivers like our own.
