Australian born Heuzenroeder is making the 10,000 mile move across the globe from his hometown of Sydney, Australia to compete in the 2023 RoKIT British F4 Championship.
A talented multi-sport athlete, Heuzenroeder embarked on his motorsport career at 13-years-old after a chance visit to Sydney’s Eastern Creek go-kart circuit ignited his passion for all things racing. After kart racing in Australia for the following three years, Heuzenroeder soon progressed to cars, competing in the 2022 NSW Formula Ford Championship where he was running 3rd in the standings before departing for the UK.
In the latter part of 2022, Patrick was selected to take part in the Ferrari Young Driver Academy – Asia Pacific and Oceania selection program, where of the twenty three competitors he was of one six chosen to proceed to the ‘race weekend’ simulation on the final day. Whilst narrowly missing out on proceeding to the world final in Italy, this opportunity only confirmed the young Aussie’s interest in pursuing single-seater racing overseas, leading to Patrick embarking on the next step of the FIA Global Pathway and joining Phinsys by Argenti’s 2023 driver line up.
Commenting his commitment to Argenti Motorsport, Patrick said: “I’m feeling optimistic about the move to British F4 with Argenti, and I think it will be a great experience in a series that is followed around the world. Argenti are a great team and have proven what they’re capable of with their previous results. I’ve really enjoyed testing with them and already feel like I have a good relationship with the team members, they work really hard but we also have a laugh! I know that they will give it everything next year, just as I will. I’m totally committed to my racing this year and my goal, like any other driver on the grid, is to win the championship. Ultimately though, I want to keep developing as a driver and make sure all our hard work pays off and we get the best results possible. I can’t wait to get into it.”.
Argenti F4 Team Principal Michael Meadows commented the following on signing Heuzenroeder, ‘It’s great to welcome Patrick to Argenti. We are looking forward to helping him develop as a driver so he can achieve his goals in the British F4 championship. He has been performing well in testing and and we want to continue this momentum through the rest of the test program and into the season.”
The young driver began F4 testing with Argenti in early October 2022, and will continue his rigorous winter testing programme and build momentum to the start of the 2023 season.
